A 50-year-old Carroll County woman is dead as the result of a Thursday accident that occurred on County Road 601 in rural Carroll County according to the Arkansas State Police.
A preliminary report filed by that department and posted by the Arkansas Department of Public Safety says Cindy Russell of Eureka Springs was killed and Paul Boss of Green Forest was taken to a Missouri hospital after the accident occurred Thursday afternoon just after 4:00 p.m. in a remote area of Carroll County.
Information from the report says the couple was westbound on County Road 601 on a 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by Boss. While negotiating a curve, Boss lost control and the Harley left the roadway and overturned.
Russell was pronounced dead at the scene by the Greene County Missouri coroner's office. Boss was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield Missouri for treatment involving specified injuries.
The accident occurred very close to the Arkansas/ Missouri State border.
Trooper Jacob p Graham of the Arkansas State Police worked the accident and said weather was clear and the roadway was dry when the crash occurred.
