Monday one-vehucle accident takes life of 47-year-old Gravelly woman


A 47-year-old Gravelly woman died Monday as the result of a one-truck accident on a rural stretch of State Highway 27 in Yell County, according to the Arkansas State Police.


The ASP preliminary reports says Lorrie Ann Kirby was driving a 2009 Mitsubishi Raider north on Highway 27 she she lost control of the vehicle while attempting to negotiate a left-hand curve. The Radier went off to the roadway to the right and the driver over-corrected, bring the truck back on the the highway where it overturned.


Kirby was ejected from the truck and died at the scene.


Trooper David Somthers worked the accident, which occurred near Danville Mountain 3.2 Log Mile at 11:21 p.m. and noted conditions were clar and the roadway was dry at the time of the wreck.
