A Monday night motorcycle wreck just north of Union town Road on Arkansas State Highway 59 took the life of a 33-year-old Van Buren man, according to the Arkansas State Police.

According to a report released by the ASP on Tuesday, Scott Snipes was piloting a 2012 Harley Davison north on Highway 59 just after 7 p.m. Monday when he failed to negotiate a right hand curve, crossed across the road way and slammed into a guardrail.

Snipes was ejected from the bike and found in the southbound land several feet from the Harley Davidson.

Snipes was taken to Mercy Fort Smith and was later airlifted to UAMS in Little Rock where he expired.
