According to the Arkansas State Police, a Springdale man was killed in a head-on crash Monday morning on South Thompson Street within the Springdale city limits.
Joel James Leonard, 60, was driving a 2013 Toyota Camry southbound on Thompson Street/ Highway 71 near the intersection of Cooper Drive around 9:16 a.m. when he crossed the center line and collided head-on with a northbound Ford van.
No information was released regarding the driver of the van except tnhat they were taken to the Northwest Regional Medical injury for treatment of their injuries.
Conditions were clear and dry at the time of the crash according to officer P. Olcott of the Springdale Police Department.
