Man arrested in 2016 for "pinching buttocks" in jail for sex offender registration violation

A 25-year4-old Fayetteville resident was booked into the Washington County Detention Center on Saturday and charged with Failing to Register as a Sex Offender as well as an administrative hold for another agency.

While admittedly Hice is not a model citizen, his Second Degree Sexual Assault charge stems from having "pinched the buttocks" of a Washington County woman in 2016. His booking address is the same as his address on thee Arkansas Crime Information Sex Offender List, so the arrest must stem from failing to report and he is on probation for another six-plus years.

The buttocks pinching in 2016 earned Hice a 120 day county jail sentence, a $1000 fine, and the probation. Prior to that arrest he had a felony conviction on a negotiated plea for Second Degree Battery in Madison County in 2014.

Since his buttocks pinching escapade, Hice has tallied a few more arrests. He had a no prosecution on a September 2018 arrest for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a 2019 arrest for two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Theft of Property with a trial that has been continued out to April of 2021.

Hice was arrested on this latest warrant one day after it was filed with the prosecutor's office. He has a first appearance hearing scheduled for Monday morning in Washington County Circuit Court.
