According to information from the Fort Smith Police Department, a 22-year-old Fort Smith was arrested Monday morning in connection with the shooting death of 22-year-old Jeremiah Allen which occurred Sunday night.
Detectives with the Fort Smith Police Department were called to a local hospital on Sunday at approximately 8PM. Allen died in transport to the hospital after the shooting, which occurred at an undisclosed location
Upon further investigation, James Michael Eugene Shoemake was arrested and charged with Murder in the 1st degree although his booking information had not been posted as of 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
