The Springdale Police Department arrested a Lowell man on Tuesday and charged him with Domestic Battery and two sex crime related counts, according to the public booking information on the Washington County Detention Center website.

Thirty-three year-old Joseph Rodriguez-Bergdecia, who lives in the 500 block of Crystal Street in Lowell, faces one count of Second Degree Domestic Battery, Rape and Sexual Assault in the Second Degree after his arrest Tuesday afternoon.

No details of the related crimes have been released at this time.

A superficial search of online sources shows that Rodriguez-Bergdecia was arrested in September of 2019 for misdemeanor Domestic Battery and worked a negotiated plea for one year supervised probation which ended on September 11, 2019 according to the Fayetteville Probation and Parole office of the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections.

This is a developing story.
