On May 28, 2024, Logan County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigator Chris Langston arrested Nicholas Allen Schouweiler, 41, of Ratcliff, on four counts of Rape (all Class Y felonies).
Schouweiler,, whose address is listed in the 100 block of Commercial Street ion Ratliff. is also a resgistered Level 4 sex offender which is the highest classification due to a sexual assault conviction in the early 2000s.
It is alleged that Schouweiler engaged in sexual intercourse or deviate sexual activity with a juvenile under the age of 14 on four separate occasions. Schouweiler is incarcerated in the Logan County Detention Center on a $200,000 cash only bond.
Logan County Criminal Investigation Division has interviewed several people during this investigation and several juveniles have been interviewed at one of the Children’s Advocacy Centers of Arkansas which specialize in forensic interviews of children and in therapy and aftercare.
. A conviction for a Class Y felony can result in a prison term of 10 to 40 years or life.
