The Fort Smith Police Department continues to seek your help identifying the vehicle attached to this news release.

It was involved in a deadly hit-and-run collision that occurred in the 5600 block of Rogers Avenue at approximately midnight on Nov. 17, 2023. As a result of the collision, 21-year-old John Massey Stephens died, and his passenger was seriously injured.

Investigators believe the vehicle is an F250/350 Ford truck with a model year from 2011-2016. It could have extensive damage to the passenger side window. We're asking the public to pay especially close attention to the distinctive panel in the tailgate - seen typically in Platinum, Limited, and King Ranch editions - as well as the items in the bed of the truck for anything that might help in identifying the vehicle and its driver.

Please call the FSPD at 479-709-5000 if you have any information that can assist. To be reward-eligible (up to $1,000), tips must be submitted through Fort Smith Crime Stoppers at 78-CRIME.
