A 57-year-old Mayes County man finds himself behind bars after an arrest on Friday on charges of lewd or indecent proposals or acts to a child and child sexual abuse.

According to booking information from the Mayes County Sheriff's office, Joseph Patrick Bonaugrh, whose last identifiable address from online sources was on North Whitaker Street in Pryor, was processed into jail at 11:03 a.m. Friday morning on the two felony charges.

According to a background check on Bronaugh, he has lived in a variety of places in Oklahoma, Kansas, California, and Missouriover the years. In addition to making his home in Pryor, he has also lived in Langley, Chickasha, Disney, Adair,Bartlesville, and Tulsa in Oklahoma.

His background check also shows past residencies in Simi Valley, California, Galena, Kansas and Joplin, Missouri.

Other than a protective order filed in Washington County by Bronaugh's ex-wife, which also included her then minor children, the suspect has very little prior criminal record in the state of Oklahoma.

Obviously, with the arrest occurring on Friday, very few details have emerged or been released on the circumstances of the crime.

This is a breaking story and we will supply more information as it is released.
