Level 4 Pope County sex offender taken into custody for failing to comply with registration duties

A forty year old Level 4 sex offender in Pope County was arrested on Wednesday and charged with one count of Failing to Comply with the Requirements of the Arkansas Child and Sex Offender Act according to booking information from the Pope County Sheriff's Office.

Jeremy Allan Keech, whose last posted address with the Arkansas Sex Offender regsitery was in the 900 block of Highway 124 in Hattieville (rural Conway County) was taken into custody just after 6 p.m,. on Wednesday and remains jailed awaiting a bond hearing according to court information.

Keech, who was convicted of the Rape of a Child Under the Age of 12 and Aggravated Sexual Contact with a Minor, also resided in Hartman in Johnson County at one time. A record search in Arkansas doesnt show the criminal conviction on the sex charges within the state, but it's possible his original arrest occurred in Kansas,

It is unclear where Keech was residing within Pope County when offiucers arrested him on Wednesday.
