Arkansas residents who need help paying their current and/or past-due drinking water and wastewater bills may qualify for assistance through LIHWAP.
The program assists eligible households that:
need help paying their current drinking water and wastewater bills,
are disconnected from water services,
have a dated notice of disconnection, or
have past-due bills.
Note: Recipients who applied for LIHWAP before October 1, 2022, may be eligible for a second crisis benefit to pay their past-due water bill. The benefit will pay the amount due, up to $2000, for water-related charges only.
