A 95-year-old Harrison man died Tuesday morning after his vehicle collided with multiple parked cars at a business on West Central Avenue in Harrison.
According to a report from the Harrison Police Department, Herbert Terry was traveling north on AR Highway 7 South at approximately 10:54 a.m. when he turned into the parking lot of 323 West Central Avenue.
Investigators say Terry’s 2008 Dodge unexpectedly accelerated and struck a parked 2002 Chevrolet. The impact pushed that vehicle into a 2002 International Harvester, which in turn struck a 2010 Dodge. All three vehicles were unoccupied.
Emergency responders transported Terry to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center, but he did not survive his injuries. His body is being held at Holt Memorial Chapel. No other injuries were reported.
The crash occurred under clear skies and dry road conditions.
