Lavaca man arrested after standoff with police on Tuesday afternoon
Officials in Sebastian County say a Lavaca man barricaded himself in a vehicle but was arrested after a short standoff Tuesday afternoon near Lavaca.
James Seaton of Lavaca was booked into the Sebastian County Detention Center Tuesday night at 7:48 p.m. after the incident on on Highway 255, near Lavaca. Seaton was inside the vehicle, which contained weapons, and was taken unto custody after multiple law enforcement organizations responded to the scene.
Seaton was booked o three separate charges.....Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, Battery in the Third Degree with a Weapon and Refusal to Submit to Arrest. He is being held on a no-bond hold nd $1500 in other bonds for the misdemeanor offenses.
Seaton's first court appearances for the charges has been set for January 25.
