The Arkansas State Police is reporting the death of an unidentified juvenile in an accident involving a 2012 Chevrolet and a go-kart on State Highway 23 in Ozark on Monday.
According to an ASP preliminary report, the juvenile was traveling northbound on State Highway 23 at approximately 456 p.m. Monday afternoon. The Chevrolet was southbound on the highway and the go-kart crossed the center line, striking the car.
The juvenile was thrown from the go-kart and the Chevrolet came to rest in the west ditch of State Highway 23.
Trooper Jed Bolyard worked the accident for Troop H of the ASP and noted clear weather conditions and dry roadways at the time of the accident.
The death of the juvenile was the 436th recorded for the year on Arkansas roads and highways.
