Law enforcement officials in Sequoyah County are investigating a death after a juvenile's body was found Tuesday night at the Motel 6 in Sallisaw. The Sallisaw Police Department announced the investigation on Wednesday.
Police are calling the death suspicious and they say there are a few persons of interests and detectives have already interviewed several people regarding the case.
Police are waiting for an autopsy report from the Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause of death, officials said.
The toxicology report may take eight to 12 weeks.
