A 72-year-old Russellville woman remains behind bars after an arrest last week that resulted in a charge of Criminal Solicitation for Capital Murder after an investigation revealed she attempted to pay an individual to kill her son and his girlfriend.
On March 18, the Ozark Police Department took a took a theft report from. Mildred Rose, of Russellville in which she reported that $45,000 in cash had been stolen out of her vehicle in Ozark.
Rose listed a suspect and a witness in her report.
Through further investigation, it was determined that Rose had paid a subject to murder her son and his girlfriend.
Rose reported the theft of the money when the murders did not take place.
Rose was arrested on June 4 and is being held in the Franklin County Jail on Solicitation for Murder, Filing False Police Report, and Obstructing Governmental Operations charges.
Rose is being held without bail at this time and the investigation is ongoing. More suspects are being sought at this time.
