A 57-year-old Fayetteville man has died as the result of injuries sustained Sunday night in an accident in which a vehicle struck a moped in the northbound lanes of I49 south of Garland.
According to an Arkansas State Police preliminary report Ricky N. Holbrooks was travel north in the middle lane with no lights on the moped when a 1994 Ford struck him from behind. The impact caused the moped to overturn, throw Holbrooks to the pavement.
Trooper Maria Duarte sited cloudy weather and dry road conditions at the time of the 11:15 -p.m. accident.
