A 52-year-old Huntington man will be making his third trip to the Arkansas Department of Corrections since 2019 after he pled guilty to drug charges on Thursday in Sebastian County Circuit Court.
According to information from Sebastian County booking and Arkansas Court Connect, Wesley Don Cumbie, who resides at 7970 Cumbie Quarry Drive in Huntington, was given a 15-year imposed sentence and additional 15-year suspended during the court session. Cumbie was essentially convicted of possession with purpose to deliver of meth or cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia that occurred on May 23, 2023.
That May arrest also triggered a parole violation for previous crimes committed for which he had been granted parole.
Cumbie had last gone to prison back in August of 2021 when a felony petition to revoke was levied against him after a June arrest in that year for felony possession of Schedule III controlled substances.
He had also been sent to prison out of Sebastian County in September of 2019 after an August arrest that year for possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia violated that a previous parole.

As part of the plea deal on Thursday, Prosecuting Attorney Daniel Shue for the 12th Judicial District move to withdraw the petition to revoke based on his plea to the underlying charges in the case.
Cumbie remained housed in the Sebastian County adult Detention Center on Saturday waiting transfer to the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
