A Hot Springs man was killed and four people were injured Sunday when a two-vehicle crash occurred on U.S. Highway 70 near Bonnerdale in Montgomery County, according to an Arkansas State Police fatal crash summary.

Jon W. Fischer, 63, of Hot Springs was driving a 2010 Ford eastbound on Highway 70 at 12:38 p.m. when his vehicle crossed the center line into the westbound lane, the report states. The front of Fischer's Ford struck the front left side of a 2011 Dodge traveling west that was driven by Haden K. Gage, 34, of Gladewater, Texas.

Fischer was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to Thornton Funeral Home.

Gage was injured, as were three passengers in his vehicle: Rosanna Thomas, 44, also of Gladewater, and two minors whose ages were not listed in the report. The injured were taken to CHI St. Vincent Hospital and National Park Medical Center.

The weather was clear and the roadway was dry. Arkansas State Police investigated the crash. No additional details on the cause of the center-line crossing have been released.
