Hindsville woman killed, two others injured in failure-to-yield accident Friday on US Highway 412

A Friday night crash at a Springdale intersection in Washington County resulted in the death of a 71-year-old Hindsville woman, according to the Arkansas State Police.

According to a preliminary report from the ASP, Guadalupe Fierro of Hindsville was at the intersection of US Highway 412 and Hickory Flat Road in a 2021 Toyota when she failed to yield to on-coming traffic.

A Westbound 2010 Jeep driven by 18-year-old Bopbbi F. Johnson of Springdale slammed into the driver's side of the Toyota with both vehicles coming to rest in the center median.

Fierro died at the scene according to the Washington County Coroner's office. Johnson and a passenger, 21 year-old Jani Johnson of Huntsville, were transported to the Washington County Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries.

Trooper Randall Schwab noted clear conditions and dry roads at the time of the accident, which resulted in the 328th Arkansas roadway fatality of the year.
