Head-on collision in Waldron proves fatal to Shreveport, Louisiana 53-year-old driver





A 53-year-old Louisiana man is dead and two people from Scott County were injured after a two-vehicle collision Friday afternoon in Waldron, according to the Arkansas State Police.


According to a preliminary report by the Arkansas Department of Safety, Adrian Crawford was driving southbound on US Highway 71 in a 2001 Mercedes when he crossed the center line and struck a 2000 Chevrolet head-on at the intersection of Freedom Road.


Crawford was pronounced dead at the scene while 53-year-old Robert Jones, the driver of the Chevrolet, and 26-year-old Cody Jones were both transported to Mercy Fort Smith for treatment of unspecified injuries,


According to the responding officer, weather conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the accident.
