A Hackett woman and a minor passenger in her vehicle died on Wednesday as the result of a deadly head-on collision that occurred in the 9400 block of Gap Road in Hackett at 8 am.
An Arkansas State Preliminary report says Rebecca Ann Everett, 32, of Hackett died when the 2010 Nissan Altima she was driving southbound on Gap Road topped a hill crest and crashed into a southbound 2005 Chevrolet pick-up driven by 50-year-old Anthony Jones, also of Hackett.
Everett and an unidentified minor passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. Jones was transported to Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith for treatment of unknown injuries.
Major John Miller of the Sebastian County Sheriff Office reported conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of impact.
