Officials in Newton County say a 34-year-old Harrison man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of a 71-year-old Compton, man on Monday.
The Newton County Sheriff’s Office has issued a press release saying William Kasey Young has been charged with with one count of first degree murder.
Police said William Charles Clark of Compton was discovered dead from gunshott wounds after responding to a 911 call around 6 a.m. Monday about a shooting in the Compton area.
Compton is an unincorporated community in Newton County, Arkansas, United States. located on Arkansas Highway 43 approximately 14 miles southwest of Harrison.
