A 55-year-old Hackett man is being held in Sebastian County Adult Detention Center on a $100,000 bond pending a July 17th court date on one charge of sexual assault in the second degree.
According to booking information from the SCADC, Jamie Leon speaks, who resides in the 4900 block of Bowers Loop in Hackett, was arrested by the Sebastian County Sheriff's Office and booked into the local jail at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday.
Sexual Assault in the Second Degree generally always coincides with an adult making sexual contact with a juvenile under the age of 14.
Speaks was involved in a 2003 case in which he was accused of abusive incidents at a preschool in Greenwood.
It is unclear at this time whether the arrest on Thursday was related to the preschool situation or if this is another offense. There are currently two civil cases still open and pending against Miss Tina's Preschool stemming from the previous incidents.
Speaks is a registered sex offender who was previously convicted of Sexual Solicitation/Indecency with a Child and Sexual Assault in the Second Degree.
