Greenwood child porn criminal now facing statutory rape charge



A 24-year-old Greenwood man who was already out on bail for two charges in Crawford County for Distributing, Possessing or Viewing Material Depicting Child Sex had a charge of Statutory Rape <14-Years-Old added to his tally sheet on Tuesday after an Arkansas State Police arrest.


Jacob Ray Bledsoe (also known as Jacob Ray Fulford) enter a not guilty plea to the two child pornography counts on March 5 through his attorney Ron Fields aftern his release on a $10,000 bond. The charges against him were amended on Tuesday to add the Statutory Rape charge, and Bledsoe/Fulford remained jailed on a $100,000 cash bond.


The Statutory Rape accusation is a separate crime from the child pornography charges because the latest violation occurred on May 5, 2020.


Statutory rape includes sexual intercourse, anal or oral sex, or penetration (however slight) between a minor who is 13 or younger and a defendant who is more than three years older than the minor. The offense is a Class Y felony, and a conviction can result in a minimum prison sentence of 25 years.
