Gravette man dead after truck runs off gravel road in rural Benton County

The Benton County Sheriff Office says a Gravette man died in a wreck in Gentry sometime over the weekend near Floyd Moore Road and US Highway 45 in a one vehicle accident.

Brandon Nichlos, 25, was found in his 2001 Chevrolet Silverado at 6:27 Sunday morning after the wreck. Investigating officers were unable to pinpoint the exact time of the accident.

According to the accident investigation, Nichlos was travel west on Floyd Moore Road at a high rate of speed when he lost control and sideswiped a small tree. He bounced off that tree and struck a second tree, causing the truck to go airborne. After the truck landed it fishtailed before sliding into a third three on the passenger side of the vehicle.

The vehicle wasn't located until early Sunday morning.

Officers say conditions were clear on the dirt and gravel road at the time of the accident.
