

More information has been released on a story that we first told you about just before midnight last night concerning the death of a pedestrian in Fort Smith.
Police say the accident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night at the intersection of North 50th Street and Wirsing avenue on the cities north side.
According to the Fort Smith Police department the victim has been dentified as 41-year-old Jessica Monk.
After the FSPD Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene evidence from the suspect vehicle collected combined with video evidence obtained led investigators to search for an early 2000 light brown Cadillac Escalade.
Thursday morning investigators been searching the area for the suspect vehicle. A similar vehicle was located in the area of 4700 North N Street. Forty-three-year-old Rogelio Picazo was developed as a suspect and taken into the FSPD to be interviewed.
At the conclusion of the interview picazo was charged with Felony Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident and was booked into the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center where he remains of a $75,000 cash bond.
At 5:15 p.m. no mugshot of the arrested suspect has been posted by the Sebastian County Detention Center.
