FSPD arrests local resident on felony child pornography charges


A Fort Smith man was arrested Tuesday on charges involving child pornography and bailed out of the Sebastian County Detention on Wednesday on a $50,000 legally sufficient bond.


Barrett Brown was arrested and booked into the SCDC at 3 p.m. Tuesday and two hours later was charged with felony Pandering or Possessing Visual or Print Medium Depicting Sexually Explicit Conduct Involving a Child-Solicit or Receive.


The charges Brown faces are a Class C Felony in the state of Arkansas punishable by three to ten years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
