A two-vehicle accident we first told you about early Friday morning resulted in the death of a Little Rock truck driver, according to information released by the Arkansas State Police.
The accident, which occurred at 7:43 am near the 51-mile- marker of I40 in Johnson County, involved two tractor-trailer rigs in the eastbound lane of the interstate.
According to police 37-year-old Jeremy E, Kennedy of Little Rock was driving behind slower traffic when he ran the 2021 Kenworth he was driving into the back of a 2019 Peterbilt. The accident blocked hectic holiday traffic on the interstate form almost two hours before state police personnel were able to reroute the traffic after turning around vehicles in the eastbound land and taking them back to the nearest exit.
The I40 death represents the 628th highway fatality in the state for the year of 2021.
