Franklin County Sex Offender arrested for third time for failing to meet registration requirements

A 43-year-old Ozark man was arrested and released on bail after spending, less than nineteen hours behind bars on his third charge since 2019 for Failing to Register as a Sex Offender.


According to booking information from the Franklin County Detention Center, Christopher Brandon Harden, who was convicted in 2000 of Rape and Sexual Abuse out of Pulaski County and whose last listed address with the state on the Sex Offender Registry was i Altus, was booked Tuesday morning at just after 1 p.m. for the violation.


Harden was originally sentenced to 25 years on June 28, 2000 on the two felony convictions out of Pulaski County.


Harden, who has also lived in Pulaski and Chicot counties in the past, is registered with the state as living in the 8800 block of Greenpoint Drive in Altus. He was arrested twice in 2019 for the same violation.


He also was arrested on Escape charges in August of 2000 and was given an additional 18 months in prison at that time.


His last listed working address was at a major poultry plant in Ozark.
