Fort Smith woman with consistent criminal past sentenced to five years in prison on drug charges



A 35-year-old Fort Smith woman, who has been sentenced to 278 months in prison since 2016 on a myriad of felony charges involving drugs and residential burglarY, saw another five years added to that collection in Sebastian County Circuit Court on Wednesday. According to information posted by Sebastian County Circuit Court Heather ,Nicole Acord, who's listed address with the court system is in the 4300 block of South 35th Drive in Fort Smith, received the 60-month sentence after she entered a guilty plea on amended charges involving three possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia. Acord appeared with her attorney David Powell and the state amended Count Two to Possession of Meth (a Class D Felony) and Counjt Three to possession of tramadol.
