Fort Smith police looking for suspect in second armed car-jacking in the past week

Fort Smith Police received a call Friday evening October 15 regarding an aggravated robbery that occurred in the 7500 block of Jenny Lind Rd.

This is the second such incident involving a theft of a vehicle by a white male assailant brandishing a firearm in the last week.

The suspect in Friday’s incident was described as wearing a face mask, which covered the lower half of his face, with a gray sweatshirt tied around his waist.

The investigation is ongoing. More information will be released as available and appropriate.
