The Fort Smith Police Department has identified the victim in Sunday's shooting that 52nd Street in the vicinity of UA=Fprt Smith.
At approximately 7:21 PM, Fort Smith Police responded to a domestic-related shooting call in the 2400 block of N 52nd Street. Upon arrival, it was determined that two people exchanged gunfire.
As a result of the gunfire, one individual is deceased, 33-year-old Steven Allan Boggs, and another was transported to a local hospital for treatment related to a gunshot wound in critical condition.
The investigation remains ongoing, and more information will be released when available and appropriate. No arrests have been made at this time, but all involved parties have been accounted for.
This is believed to be an isolated incident with no immediate threat to the public.
