A 46-year-old Fort Smith man was sentenced to 10 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections this week after compiling a massive arrest record in Sebastian County dating back to 2015.
According to information from Arkansas Court Connect and the Sebastian County Sheriff's office, Timothy Manh Nguyen has been arrested 19 times since 2019 in the county.
Those arrests have included assault on a family member in the first degree, theft of property, assault, criminal trespass, delivery of scheduled controlled substances, Class C felony failure to appear, drug and paraphernalia possession as well as numerous trips to jail for various contempt charges.
He has also had a number of felony petition to revoke cases and gone to prison on at least two occasions during his criminal spree.
Court record indicates that Nugyen had a Class C Felony conviction for non-support of more than $10,000 but less than $25,000 and apparent failure to take care of those obligations led to a revocation on September 5, 2023.
According to court records, Gwen cost a local bail bond company $5,000 when he failed to show up for court following a 2023 arrest.
The child support case stemmed from a paternity test in 2013 according to court records.
As of Saturday at 4 pm Nguyen was still in the SCADC awaiting transfer to state prison.
