Fort Smith man draws 25-year incarceration in ADC on three drug-related charges


A Fort Smith man who was arrested twice in 2020 on drug related charges will spend a considerable amount of time as a guest of the Arkansas Deprtment of Corrections after his open court plea deal Thursday in Sebastian County Circuit Court.


Jermie Russell Bradway, 32, was sentenced to 25-years with 15 years suspended after his charge of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Delibver was reduced to Class C Possession of Meth. Bradcway pleaded guilty to three charges total with the understanding that additional time would be added on as a Habitual Offender.


Bradway was arrested on February 12 of this year for possession and possession with intent to deliver along with a revocation for crimes investigagtors say occurred in October 2020. That followed 2020 arrests for similar drug violations, a parole violation and petition to revoke.


As far back as 2012, Bradway also had three other arrests, two for drug related charges and one for theft of property as well as being the object of an Order of Protection by a local woman.


Braway remaions in the SCDC awaiting transer to the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
