Fort Smith child pornography arrest sends 53-year-old to prison with 20-year sentence

A 53-year-old For Smith who was arrested in February on four counts of Distributing, Possessing, or Viewing of a Matter Depicting Sexually Explicit Conduct Involving a Minor drew a 20-year sentence with an additional 20-years suspenced in Sebastian County Circuit Court on Wednesday.

James Michael Bostick, whose latest address was in the 3300 block of Kinkead Avenue, had been free on a $25,000 bond before his court appearance on Wednesday. He was given credit fo the five days he served in the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center back in February after his initial arrest.

Bostick has also lived in Fayetteville, Springdale and Drasco, Arkansas in the past.

Bostick was required to submit his DNA to the court and will be required to register as a sex offender once he is released from prison.
