An 86-year-old Lowell man was arrested last week by the Fayetteville Police Department and charged with several counts involving the sexual abuse of a child, according to information garnered from Washinton County Detention Center booking information.
Terry Lavy, whose listed residence is 10488 Ervin McGarrah Road in Lowell, was arrested last Friday and charged with Rape/Forcible Fondling, Sexual Assault in the Second Degree and Sexual Indecency with a Child. He was booked into the Washing County Detention Center Friday night at 7:35 p.m. and seems to have been released today after a bond hearing on Washington County Circuit Court.
His arrest and bond information had not been posted to Arkansas Court Connect as of 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
Online information indicates that Lavy is a retired University of Arkansas agriculture professor.
