

A fiery crash on I49 northbound on Monday took the life of a 39-year-old attorney from Lowell, according to the Arkansas State Police.
Jesse L. McCombs was northbound on the interstate in a 2017 Buick in the left lane when the vehicle drifted all the way across the roadway and exited on the right shoulder. The Buick then traveled approximately 800" before striking a pole and concrete barrier before rotating in a counter clockwise motion before coming to rest on its left side and bursting into flames.

According to Corp. Ray Triplett of the Arkansas State Police, McCombs was pronounced dead at the scene.
The fatality was the twenty-second of the year on Arkansas roadways.
