

Law enforcement officials in Northwest Arkansas say a 22-year-old Fayetteville man has died as a result of an accident that occurred Monday in Madison County.
According to the Arkansas State Police preliminary report the accident occurred on State Highway 412 near Lake Hindsville in rural Madison County at 5:33 a.m. Monday morning.
Jayzek Michael Zimmerman was traveling westbound on Highway 412 in the region of the lake when the 2008 Toyota he was driving left the roadway and went into the left median. The Toyota rotated clockwise before overturning and rolling several times.
During the rolling process, Simmerman was ejected from the vehicle and came to rest in the westbound Lane of Highway 412. He was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfieldi where he was later pronounced dead.
According to the report by Trooper Harley A. Hopper, the weather conditions were cloudy but the roadway was dry at the time of the accident.
Also according to the same report, Simmerman's death, the 101st fatality of the year, was a result of the 92nd accident of 2024 that has taken a life on an Arkansas road or highway.
