Fayetteville man dead after vehicle runs off State Highway 16 east of Siloam Springs on Wednesday

A 29-year-old Fayetteville Man is dead after the 2009 Mercedes-Benz he was driving ran off the roadway in Siloam Springs Wednesday night, according to information from the Arkansas state police. 


An ASP preliminary report said that N.B Johnson, who was the driver of the Mercedes, was westbound on State Highway 16 and exited the roadway while negotiating a right-hand curve Wednesday night, was killed in the crash. 


The report says the vehicle struck a tree and a culvert before overturning. 


Johnson was transported to Siloam Springs Regional hHospital where he was later declared dead. 


Investigating officer Corporal Billy m Martin of the Arkansas State Police said conditions were clear and the road was wet at the time of the crash. 


Johnson's death represented the 288th of the year on Arkansas roads and highways.
