F0rt Smith drug dealer, habitual offender draws 25-years in ADC after plea deal in 2021 drug arrest


A Fort Smith man with multiple felony and misdemeanor arrests and convictions dating all the way back to 2014 was sentenced to the Arkansas Department of Corrections for 25 years plus five years suspended on charges of trafficking drugs, possession of Schedule VI controlled substances, and maintaining a premises for drug activities.


Mateo E. Solis , 26, with a listed residence in the 1200 block of North 33rd Street in Fort Smith, took a plea deal in open court on Friday and we'll have the 25 years added to his current sentence in the Arkansas Department of Corrections.


Solis is already serving a 10-year term out of Crawford County for a 2018 residential burglary charge that also listed him as a habitual offender. Prior he has done stretches in the ADC for theft by receiving and residential burglary out of Sebastian County from all the way back in 2014.


He was returned to Sebastian Country one day prior to his sentencing on Friday.


He is serving out his current sentence in the Delta Regional Unit in Dermont. Solis also has detainers out of Crawford and Sebastian County as well for 2016 and 2022 crimes.
