Eighty-six-year-old Clarksville man dead after Monday night, pedestrian accident on North College Avenue




The Arkansas State Police has released information on a pedestrian accident that occurred Monday night in Clarksville that took the life of an 86-year-old Johnson County man.


According to the preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police that was filed with the Arkansas Department of Public Safety, at 8:34 p.m. on April 29th, 86-year-old Clarksville resident Marvin Bean was walking eastbound across the mark crosswalk on North College Avenue. 


Bean was struck by a 2008 Mazda that was southbound on North College. He was transported to the Johnson Regional Medical facility where he was later declared dead by the Johnson County Coroner's office. 

 

Arkansas State Trooper Firervin F. Clokey of Troop J. noted the weather conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the accident.
