Eighteen-wheeler runs off bridge in rural Franklin County killing 66-year-old Georgia driver

A 66-year-old Georgia truck-driver died in the early morning hours of Monday when the 2017 Freightliner he was driving on I40 in rural Franklin County ran off a bridge rail at 1:08 am.
According to the Arkansas State Police, Jong Choi of Suwanee, Georgia was driving the eighteen-wheeler eastbound on I40 when he struck a bridge guardrail at mile marker 42 just east of Wiedekehr Village.. The momentum of the truck then carried it into the bridge rail and it traveled over and off the bridge causing the truck to crash to the ground.
Police said it was rainy and wet on the bridge at the time of the accident.
The crash resulted in the 88th fatality in 77 accidents this year on Arkansas roadways. That number is ten less deaths than a year ago for the same time period.
