Fort Smith police made an arrest on Saturday after a shooting incident in the 400 block of Duke Avenue. According to a press release from the FSPD, officers responded to the call at 8:50 a.m. Saturday morning.
When police arrived at the scene one male victim who was injured was transported to a local medical facility for treatment. During the course the investigation it was learned that Caleb France (the victim that was transported to the hospital) and a 17-year-old juvenile had committed an aggravated robbery during which the injury occurred.
France, 18, fled from the hospital was but was quickly apprehended. The juvenile was also arrested along with France during the investigation of the aggravated robbery.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing and more information be released when available.
