Early Wednesday mornng one-vehicle accident proves fatal to 37-year-old Fort Smith man


A 37-year-old Fort Smith man died in the early morning hours of Wednesday in an automobile accident on Grand Avenue, according to the Fort Smith Police Department and the Arkansas State Police
According to a preliminary report posted by the Arkansas State Police, Joshua Lee Hill of Fort Smith was driving a 1989 Jeep eastbound in the 1400 block of Grand Avenue. The vehicle left the roadway on the south side of Grand and struck a traffic light at the intersection of North E Street and Grand.
Hill was pronounced dead at the same by the Sebastian county coroner's office.
The accident was invested by Corp. Andrew Adams of the Fort Smith Police Department who listed fog as a possible contributing factor in the accident. The roadway was dry at the time of the crash.
Police said the crash occurred at 3:50 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
