Early Sunday morning shooting on North Albert Pike leads to arrest of 20-year-old Fort Smith man

At approximately 12:30 AM Sunday morning, the Fort Smith Police Department responded to a shooting call at a residence in the 1200 block of North Albert Pike.

Upon arrival, officers located one gunshot victim, 25-year-old David Barroso, who was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested 20-year-old Gage Vulgamore in connection to the incident. This is believed to be an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.
