Law enforcement officials in Benton County say a 31-year-old Rogers man died as the result of an early morning accident Tuesday on North Old Wire Rpad.
Benton County sheriff's office identified the victim as Tredis Christopher Allen of Rogers.
Police say Allen was driving a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound on North Old Wire Road at a high rate of speed ay 2 am. .He lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a left-handed curve.
The Jeep left th roadway to the right and hit a tree. Allen was pinned inside the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the same by the Benton County coroner's office.
Benton County sheriff deputy Colin Delaney investigated the accident and said weather conditions were overcast and the roadway was wet at the time of the accident.
