A Dyer man remains behind bars at the Crawford County Detention Center after his Friday night arrest on Sexual Assault in the Second Degree and Producing, Directing or Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child charges, according to booking information from Crawford County.
Those charges are Class D and Class B felonies respectively.
Rickey Allen Leakey, 44, was booked into the CCDC Friday night at 7:23 p.m. after an arrest by the Crawford County Sheriff Office. Because he was booked after 5 p.m. on Friday night, few details about the case are available at this time.
A cursory search on Arkansas Court Connect show no previous felony violations for Leakey with citations for No Seatbelt, No Liability Insurance and Misdemeanor Failure to Appear all that shows on his arrest record back to 2002.
Class D felonies convictions are the least serious felonies in Arkansas, punishable by up to six years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. The sentence for a Class B felony is five to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $15,000.
Leakey will be provided with a bond hearing later this week.
