Drugs and firearms violations sends Muldrow man to ten-year stretch in Arkansas prison system

A Muldrow man who's been in the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center since May of last year was sentenced to seven years in prison with an additional five years suspended in court proceedings Wednesday morning in Sebastian County.

Ian Lee Anderson, 40, who was arrested May 19th of last year and charged with multiple violations, has been on a no bond hold in the SCADC since his arrest.

That arrest was for possession of firearms, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, two counts of possession of controlled substance, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest also triggered a petition to revoke on previous misdemeanor charges.

Anderson was also cited for contempt for failure to make a previous Court date.

On Wednesday he saw one charge dropped and another charge amended to a class Dfelony and pled guilty as charged with a habitual enhancement.

Anderson was giving credit for jail time served, agreed to forfeit property seized in the arrest, and will have his driver's license suspended for 6 months without permit when he is released from prison.
